Egmore Recreation Club wins thanks to batters

<p>In the II Division of the TNCA League Championship 2023–24, Egmore Recreation Club defeated Southern Railway Institute thanks to fifty-three-year-old N Niranjan and fifty-nine-year-old G Sujith. When batting first, ERC scored 261/5, with contributions from K Veeraviswa (49 n.o.) and Arun Chaprana (44). Southern Railway was removed after 157 runs, 104 runs shy of victory.</p>

<p>In the MAGNA — Thiruvallur DCA Inter College Knockout T20 Tournament 2023–24, M Maskoor Ashik assisted Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology defeat TJS College of Arts and Science by smashing an unbeaten 69 before capturing six wickets for just three runs. SMIT scored 159/4 in 20 overs when batting first, and Ashik then swept past TJS Arts College to be dismissed for 50 in 12.3 overs.</p>
