The largest World Cup yet, the Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, will have one million spectators

<p>At the famous Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, during the match between Afghanistan and South Africa, the millionth fan passed through the turnstiles with six games remaining.</p>
<p>The world’s greatest players are competing in the largest World Cup history, drawing large crowds of spectators to the 10 venues spread around India.</p>
<p>With the semi-finals scheduled for November 15 and November 16 and the final on November 19, the event is expected to maintain its momentum and provide an incredible finale that has already shattered several viewing and digital records.</p>
<p>It’s certain that the ODI format will always be popular as viewers are attracted to the thrill and talent shown by players throughout the match.</p>
<p>“With over 1 million attendees and record-breaking viewership, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has reminded cricket fans around the world of the support and interest in the ODI format that highlights how much world cup cricket is valued,” ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said in a statement marking the milestone. We hope that this tournament breaks more records and showcases the best of cricket in a single day as we approach the knockout rounds.</p>
